SILVA 114 released as web-release

The SILVA web-databases - including all tools available on the website - were updated to EMBL-EBI release 114. The next full release will be SILVA 115.

The SILVA web-releases provide quality checked ribosomal DNA data of the latest EMBL-EBI release to all tools on the website:

• Taxonomy Browser
• Search
• TestProbe
• TestPrime
• SINA

Be aware that the ARB files and SILVA taxonomy have not been updated. This will only be done in full releases which is scheduled for EMBL-EBI release 115.

Extensive release documentation will also only be available for full releases.

The web-releases are meant to balance the issue of actuality with the need for extensive curation work necessary for full releases.
