Web developer / Programmer (m/f)

(Full-time, temporary, funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation)

Your responsibilities:
  • Implementation of a web-based platform for the curation and publication of biological data following the idea of the GIT-flow workflow.
  • Design and implementation of the user interface (HTML5 / JavaScript / TypeScript).
  • Implementation of the workflow (back-end – Java, front-end React/REDUX).
  • Implementation of a REST interface to connect client applications (Java).
  • Definition of requirements and interface designs in cooperation with domain experts (taxonomists).
Your qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master of computer science or equivalent job education.
  • Competent with HTML5 and JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Experience with React- and REDUX-based web-programming desirable.
  • Good Java skills.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Motivation and team spirit.
